The role of Senior Pharmacist (Research and Development) at Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust is a part-time position focused on enhancing mental health through evidence-based care. The successful candidate will serve as the pharmacy lead within the Research and Development team, overseeing clinical trials and serving as the primary pharmacy contact for research trial sponsors and CROs. Responsibilities include managing pharmacy-related clinical trials income, facilitating site visits for trials, assessing the feasibility of clinical trials, and contributing to the prioritisation of research areas.

Additionally, the Senior Pharmacist will ensure compliance with good clinical practice and statutory standards throughout the clinical trials process. This role requires close collaboration with clinical and research teams, as well as coordination with various stakeholders, to ensure the effective and safe use of medicines across the Trust. The position emphasises a commitment to advancing mental health research and improving outcomes for service users.
