The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a Phlebotomy Supervisor for a part-time, 12-month maternity cover position, to provide leadership within the Phlebotomy Team across multiple locations including The Princess Royal Hospital and The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. The role requires a commitment of 37.5 hours over 7 days, with flexible shifts assigned based on operational needs, including weekends and bank holidays. The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a Phlebotomist and in a supervisory role, possess strong communication skills, and be capable of managing the collection and accurate recording of blood samples in various settings, while ensuring adherence to health and safety standards.

Key responsibilities include overseeing the collection of blood samples from both adults and children, maintaining accurate records, managing rosters for the team, and supervising staff and volunteers. Additional duties involve delivering samples to the laboratory, collecting relevant statistics, and continuously developing personal and team skills through training and appraisals. Flexibility in schedule and the ability to travel between sites are essential for this role.
