The Directorate Accountant role at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust involves providing comprehensive financial management support to managers and budget holders within the AUH Medicine Financial Management Team. The primary responsibilities include advising on financial matters, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to meet both internal and external requirements, and contributing to the completion of statutory returns. The postholder will also support decision-making processes, work autonomously to meet demanding deadlines, and represent the financial team in discussions with various stakeholders.

Additionally, the role requires the individual to handle complex financial queries, assist in navigating contentious financial issues, and foster strong relationships across directorates. Acting independently and leveraging expertise in finance, the Directorate Accountant will be a key member of the senior management team, providing essential insights to enable efficient resource management within the Trust.
