NHS 111 online helps you find the right care for an urgent health problem. We are a multidisciplinary team of user researchers, designers, clinicians, developers and technical people working to agile principles. Our priorities are set by user needs and our aim is to develop a product that is accessible to all.We are looking for an Associate Interaction Designer to join our award-winning team. You will gain experience working on a patient-facing product in an exciting and fast-paced environment
As an Associate Interaction Designer, you will join the 111 Online team within the Digital and Urgent Care division, collaborating with senior interaction designers, content designers, and other specialists as part of the User-Centred Design profession.
Utilising the NHS Design System, along with bespoke patterns and components developed within 111 Online, you will work closely with multidisciplinary squads.
This includes senior interaction designers, content designers, user researchers, and other professionals to craft user journeys and flows informed by evidence and insights.
Your role will involve creating prototypes using a variety of methods, including coding in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, as well as using industry-standard tools such as Figma, Mural, and others. You will work alongside senior designers to champion user-focused, accessible, and inclusive design practices, ensuring alignment with the needs and expectations of internal and external stakeholders.
As part of your responsibilities, you will collaborate with front-end developers and engineers to quality-assure your design work throughout the production cycle, from initial development to final release.
