We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Stocken, a category C Prison located in Oakham.
HMP Stocken consists of 1285 adult males. The Pharmacy at HMP Stocken is not a dispensary pharmacy, there are 6 dispensary hatches within medication / administration points. The pharmacy team consists of a Pharmacist, Pharmacy Technician and a Dispenser.Hours
The site currently offers Mon-Fri 07:30-17:30
Sat/Sun/bank hols 08:30-17:30
SalaryThis position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £40,211 per annum - depending on experience.

As a Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Ensuring patient medical records are maintained to the agreed standard at all times and ensuring standard operating procedures are followed to a high and orderly standard.
- Ensuring timely administration of medicines through to analysing cost effective prescribing as defined through our unique health in justice medicines policy.
- Work together to make a difference to all the people we support, and make Practice Plus Group, a place where each of us feels appreciated, challenged and supported to do our best work fulfilling the lives of others.
- Communicate complex or sensitive information whilst demonstrating empathy and understanding to patients.
- Share information relating to pharmaceutical products, medicines optimisation, drug regimes, medicines legislation and general health education so that the multidisciplinary healthcare team are appropriately informed.
