The Practice Plus Group in Portsmouth is seeking experienced Theatre Nurses or Operating Department Practitioners (ODPs) for a flexi/bank contract role. This position is ideal for individuals looking to work additional or ad hoc hours to complement their existing commitments. The role involves joining a professional and compassionate multidisciplinary Theatre Team, where you'll ensure high standards of patient care, maintain theatre cleanliness, and advocate for patients during the perioperative phase.

This position offers a friendly work environment with no night shifts, Sundays, bank holidays, or on-call duties, allowing for a better work-life balance. Responsibilities include proper procedures related to blood management and contributing to optimal patient treatment within a purpose-built, Good-rated hospital.

As part of our professional, friendly and compassionate team you will do everything you can to ensure the patients treatment is of the highest standard. This vacancy is offering a bank/flexi contract, offering shifts to cover annual leave, sickness or increase in workload.

Working as part of a friendly, welcoming and expert multidisciplinary Theatre Team supported by our Theatre Manager. There is no night working, no Sunday's, no bank holidays and there is no on-call! You can have more time to do the things you love doing. You will be responsible for ensuring the continual cleanliness of the theatre and equipment. This role will enable you to develop and execute the correct procedures for ordering, receiving and transfer of blood and blood products as well as blood conservation. It goes without saying privacy and confidentiality are key throughout the team and you will act as an advocate for the patient in the intra-operative phase and be responsible for total patient care in the perioperative phase.
