The University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Surgical Dietitian for a 12-month fixed-term position based at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital, with additional responsibilities at Christchurch Hospital. The successful candidate will provide specialist dietetic support to adult surgical patients, collaborating closely with the multi-disciplinary team and attending consultant-led clinics focused on surgical frailty. Responsibilities include formulating treatment plans for various nutritional support methods and potentially covering the Nutrition Support Team, engaging with patients with complex nutritional needs.

This role requires strong communication skills and a genuine interest in surgical and gastroenterology patients, as well as the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. While prior experience in nutrition support or eating disorders is not mandatory, training will be provided. The position offers opportunities for clinical support and professional development within a dynamic dietetic team dedicated to delivering comprehensive and evidence-based dietary services across a variety of patient conditions.
