Job Summary: Forensic Healthcare Professional - York (Scarborough)
Partnering Health Ltd. is seeking a Forensic Healthcare Professional to work in a custody suite in Scarborough, collaborating with police officers to assess and treat individuals detained in custody. Responsibilities include conducting clinical assessments, addressing health needs, performing forensic medical examinations, and collecting samples for evidence in the criminal justice system. Candidates will provide guidance to custody officers, maintain detailed records, and ensure the health and safety of detainees.
The role involves working flexible hours (37.5 to 42 hours per week), with full training provided. Key skills and experiences required include knowledge of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act, strong record-keeping, the ability to assess fitness for detention or release, and effective collaboration with law enforcement and healthcare teams.
