Our approach in delivering the immunisation services is innovative, refreshing and above all caring. We are committed to putting young people and service user care first. The team aims to meet national and local targets set for the uptake of all immunisations and raise awareness across all communities within Northumberland, North Tyneside, Newcastle and Gateshead. The post holder will work in a variety of settings, including schools, clinics and community venues to deliver the school aged immunisation programme.

All applicants must be a first level nurse. The post holder must have the ability to adapt to service need. The successful post holder must be able to role model compassionate and inclusive leadership in order to shape the creation of a collective leadership culture within the Trust.
The post holder will support with improving the uptake rate and safe delivery of a large scale immunisation programme within community and educational settings contributing towards the public health agenda by improving health outcomes for children and young people.
The primary immunisation programme represents a key public health measure which contributes to the reduction of health inequalities and to the achievement of national and local health objectives through the focus on prevention care for school aged children.
