In addition to direct therapy responsibilities, the role includes contributing to service planning and delivery within the Speech and Language Therapy team and the broader multi-disciplinary SEND Therapies service. The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic, flexible, and motivated to help develop the skills of colleagues while enhancing the therapeutic support provided to children and young people in schools.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and motivated speech and language therapist to help us support children and young people in a range of settings across Essex.
This Band 7 role involves co-ordinating, supporting and delivering a high quality, evidence based service in a range of settings, predominantly within the clinical fields of complex needs and AAC. There are also opportunities to supervise and manage therapists, developing their skills, as well as therapy assistants.
To lead on service delivery in designated settings
To hold a highly specialist clinical caseload within these schools.
To supervise and line manage therapists and assistants
To contribute to the planning and service delivery of the Therapies service
To work as part of the Speech and Language Therapy team, as well as the wider multi disciplinary SEND Therapies team.
