We are looking for experienced and new to care, Healthcare Support Workers with roles available at Award-Winning Haywood Hospital and temporarily at our Cheadle Hospital.

As a Healthcare Support worker you will work as part of a team and as part of this role you will be expected to:

  • Monitor patients and report any changes that identify the need for review of the patients' care
  • Ensure peoples comfort, safety and dignity whilst also maintaining confidentiality at all times
  • Enable, encourage and/or assist patients (where appropriate) with personal care such as; bathing, showering, toileting, hygiene continence care, skin integrity, meal prep and medication
  • Assist/support or prompt the patient in managing medication
  • Deliver support plans and safeguarding vulnerable people
  • Contribute to outcome focused reviews
  • Encourage peoples independence, choice, health and wellbeing
  • Encourage individuals use of equipment and assistive technology
  • Facilitate individuals transition to alternative services and support if needed
  • Engage in organisational learning and development
  • Provide excellence patient care and support
  • Recording Care - complete documentation and feedback
