The Assistant Psychologist role in Hove with Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is aimed at individuals with experience or a strong interest in mental health services for young people, particularly those dealing with anxiety and depression. This position is part of the CAMHS Cognitive Behaviour Therapy pathway and involves supporting qualified staff in providing psychological interventions, monitoring and analyzing outcome measures, and contributing to evaluations and project work. Under the supervision of a Clinical Psychologist, the role also includes engaging young people and families in their care decisions and service developments through activities such as focus groups and participation initiatives.

Candidates should possess a Postgraduate certificate in Low Intensity Psychological Therapies and demonstrate a talent for building therapeutic relationships. Experience in CAMHS is advantageous, and candidates should be flexible regarding working hours, which may include evenings and weekends. The service also allows for remote working as necessary, promoting a supportive environment for staff while enhancing mental health support for young people.
