The role of Rapid Response Community Support Worker in Brighton and Hove with Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust involves assisting mental health professionals in a new service aimed at addressing mental health crises, primarily in individuals' homes, to avoid emergency department visits. Key responsibilities include supporting mental health assessments, providing transportation to crisis locations, offering basic first aid, assisting with administrative tasks, and communicating effectively with police and paramedics. The service operates daily from midday to midnight, with flexible long day shifts available.

Candidates should have experience in mental health or care settings, knowledge of safety factors affecting service users and emergency services, and ideally experience in urgent care or crisis assessment.
