Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Clinical Research Practitioner/Research Nurse for a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover position based in West Bromwich. The ideal candidate must be a registered nurse with experience in an acute care environment and preferably have a background in both industry and academic research, specifically in respiratory and cancer studies. Responsibilities include working autonomously to identify and manage clinical trials, supporting research patients through the process, performing study-related procedures, and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team on various research projects.

The successful applicant will demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to prioritize their workload while managing a caseload of clinical trial patients. The role offers the flexibility to work across different specialties and hospital sites within the Trust, which has a diverse research portfolio and a supportive environment for healthcare professionals.
