The TLHC Nurse Coordinator role at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is integral to the Targeted Lung Health Check (TLHC) programme, aimed at early cancer diagnosis. The successful candidate will serve as the primary liaison between third-party delivery partners, secondary care providers, screening participants, and the Cancer Alliance TLHC programme team across multiple sites in Lancashire and South Cumbria. This position requires strong clinical knowledge in respiratory diseases or oncology, as well as the ability to manage patient referrals, triage CT reports, and maintain accurate patient records while contributing to multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings and ensuring governance compliance.

The role largely involves remote work with the flexibility to attend essential face-to-face meetings and training. Responsibilities include coordinating patient communication, supporting MDT coordinators, managing incidental findings from CT scans, and participating in continuous service development through audits and adherence to Trust policies. The Nurse Coordinator will work autonomously, ensuring effective delivery of the TLHC screening programme and supporting both patients and healthcare teams in the process.
