Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Performing highly skilled physiotherapeutic assessment of patients referred by Consultants, General Practitioners and Physiotherapists with diverse presentations and complex and acute / chronic physical conditions and sports injuries. Using clinical reasoning skills to provide an accurate clinical diagnosis.
  • Formulating, developing, and delivering a specialised individualised treatment programmes and exercise programmes based upon evidence-based practice, manual assessment, and appropriate clinical reasoning.
  • Managing and prioritising own clinical caseload efficiently and effectively.
  • Engaging in Continuous Quality Improvement through clinical audit and liaising closely with the Advanced Physiotherapist regarding professional performance in accordance with Healthcare Professions Council guidelines and governing core standards.
  • Advising the Exercise Rehabilitation Instructor (ERI) with regards to the selection of the appropriate type, level and intensity of specific rehabilitation exercises.
