Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join their expanding service, particularly at the new Midland Metropolitan University Hospital. The role involves assessing and treating patients on medical wards, including those with complex medical and social issues, with a focus on optimizing their functioning and facilitating safe transfers to community settings. The ideal candidate should have a solid knowledge of Acute Medicine, experience in various clinical settings, and strong team-working, organisational, and time management skills.

Additionally, the successful candidate will play a key role in service development, supervision, and training of junior staff, while contributing to the in-service training program and fostering a collaborative environment within the multi-disciplinary team. Flexibility and a commitment to 7-day working are essential, as is the ability to manage caseloads effectively and communicate with external agencies regarding patient care.
