The role of Clinical Pharmacy Technician Community Mental Health at Devon Partnership NHS Trust in Newton Abbot presents an exciting opportunity to establish a clinical pharmacy service within the community mental health team (CMHT). As an integral member of the multidisciplinary team, the technician will focus on ensuring high standards of pharmaceutical care and medicines optimisation for community patients, particularly those on high-risk medications. Key responsibilities include identifying and monitoring these patients, conducting physical health assessments in accordance with national guidelines, and collaborating with the local Medicines Optimisation team to enhance safe and effective medication use.

The position also involves providing training to staff on various aspects of medication management and optimizing team practices within the CMHT. The postholder will have supervisory responsibilities for future medicine optimisation technicians and will be accountable for their clinical decisions, making this a pivotal role in advancing mental health pharmacy services in the community.
