Bird In Eye Surgery in Uckfield is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Practice Nurse to join their friendly, semi-rural, three-partner practice, which serves 8,000 patients. The role entails working two days a week with flexible hours, and the nurse will be an integral part of the medical healthcare team. Key responsibilities include conducting health checks, managing long-term conditions such as asthma and diabetes, performing ECGs, wound care, and routine immunisations, among other tasks.

The practice offers regular administrative time within the weekly schedule and is open to discussing alternative working hours for the right candidate. This position provides an opportunity to work in a supportive environment while contributing to the well-being of a diverse patient community.

We are looking to welcome an enthusiastic and dedicated nurse to our practice.

We are offering two days a week, with flexible working hours and start times.

Bird In Eye is a friendly, supportive, semi-rural 3 partner practice with 8000 patients.

The nurse will work as part of the medical healthcare team, providing services to our 8000 patients.

Main responsibilities include:

Cytology

Wound Care

Removal of Sutures

New Patient Health Checks

ECGs

Long Term conditions Management (including asthma, diabetes etc)

Venepuncture

Hypertension Management

Routine immunisations

Childhood immunisations

Chaperoning

Maintaining & cleaning equipment

Maintaining GP & nurses rooms & stock ordering

Maintaining Cold chain log Managing clinical rooms
