CASELOAD NHS OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a passionate Community Occupational Therapist for a 6-month secondment in their Adult Learning Disability Service in Bournemouth. This position provides an opportunity to work within an integrated health and social care team, primarily in community settings across Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole. The role involves supporting clients with learning disabilities, including those with complex communication needs and challenging behaviours. While prior experience in this specific field is not essential, a genuine interest and understanding of working with individuals with learning disabilities is important.

The successful candidate will collaborate with other occupational therapists and receive guidance from a Clinical Specialist to enhance clients' physical, cognitive, and social functioning in areas such as self-care and leisure. The position offers a unique chance to develop skills in a rewarding environment, and while it is advertised as full-time, part-time options may also be considered. Applicants are encouraged to demonstrate how their skills and experience align with the role's requirements in their application.
