Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a compassionate and experienced Occupational Therapy Assistant to join their community occupational therapy team in Waterloo on a fixed-term basis of 13 months. This role requires active engagement with children aged 0-18 with various developmental challenges across multiple community settings, including homes, clinics, nurseries, and schools in South Sefton. The successful candidate will work closely with occupational therapists, supporting the implementation of treatment plans, managing workloads, delivering therapy programs, and providing training for parents and other professionals.

The position emphasises collaboration within a supportive team framework, offering robust induction, ongoing training, and development opportunities. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and professionals, ensuring understanding of treatment processes and obtaining necessary consents. The role also involves ongoing assessment and reporting of patient progress to the supervising occupational therapist.
