The Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust is seeking a Shift Technician to join their Estates Department at Dewsbury District Hospital. This role involves providing comprehensive maintenance support, including repairs, installations, and planned maintenance tasks on a multi-trade basis. The Shift Technician will be responsible for diagnosing faults in engineering installations and equipment, lead a team when required, and perform complex maintenance activities, including the handling and testing of medical gases. The position offers a Monday to Friday shift pattern from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm and comes with numerous employee benefits, including a pension, on-site nursery, and various discounts.

The successful candidate will work as part of a five-member team providing 24/7 maintenance coverage for Trust buildings, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and Trust policies. The role also entails acting as an HTM Authorised Person in their area of expertise and assisting in the development of Trust policies related to out-of-hours maintenance work.
