An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2 Reducing Restrictive Practice Trainers working with the Hywel Dda Health Board - Reducing Restrictive Practice Training Team (RRPT). The team is passionate about reducing unnecessary restrictive practices in the care and treatment of patients who use the services available. This is a great opportunity for people with an interest in the arena of restrictive practice and the main duties will include:
Develop and deliver a range of training courses with varying levels of skill and competence assessments while being accountable for assessing a training participant's level of understanding and ability, so that the training remains meaningful and pertinent to them in order to achieve their competence and confidence.
Evaluate and be responsible for the evolution of training programmes in line with the Restraint Network Training certification standards. Undertake risk assessments and training needs analyses to inform the delivery of training programmes in a variety of clinical areas and environmental settings for all staff groups. This can involve challenging established practices in a tactful and empathetic manner to encourage a change in practice.
Support the Lead Trainer in the planning and delivery of training across the year, taking into account the training needs of the Health Board workforce. Provide the Reducing Restrictive Practice Lead Trainer with a clear plan for any delivery of own projects and complete by designated deadlines.
The ability to travel between sites in a timely manner is essential for this post.
