Job description
YZUP at WithYou is the commissioned Young Persons Drug and Alcohol Service for 11-18 year olds across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. We have a vacancy for a Term-time only School Project Worker covering the entire county.
The post holder will be expected to deliver and develop the YZUP Schools Programme across Cornwall in both mainstream and alternative education provision to young people aged 11 to 18. The YZUP Schools programme has been delivering drugs and alcohol awareness sessions in schools for 10 years and in this time has developed positive working relationships with schools, colleges and additional education provisions. With a robust, evidence based programme in place, the postholder delivers sessions to students in Year 8 up to Post 16.

Please be advised that this is a term-time only, fixed-term position expected to end in June 2026. The post holder will be expected to work 30 hours per week during term time. The salary is £25,000 pro rata. The project aims to add to the PSHE curriculum topic of drugs and alcohol but in a unique way that offers students the opportunity to talk about drugs and alcohol with an external agency and be given information and advice that allows informed choice and a focus on harm reduction. The project also aims to make the YZUP service more accessible for young people should they need it in regard to their own substance use or for support with the effect of a family member's substance use.
