The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Medical Secretary for its Gastroenterology team, comprising a group of 10 consultants. This full-time position (35 hours per week, Monday to Friday) involves providing a comprehensive secretarial service, working closely with the consultancy team and other medical secretarial staff to ensure efficient production and distribution of clinical correspondence within appropriate timelines. The role requires initiative, strong organisational skills, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality throughout all tasks.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Gastroenterology Team supporting a consultant team of 10 Gastroenterologists. We are seeking an experienced medical secretary to join this dynamic team.
This post is 35 Hours per Week- Monday-Friday
To provide a comprehensive medical secretarial service to Consultants and supporting teams within designated specialty area. To work collaboratively with other medical secretarial colleagues to ensure clinical correspondence is produced and distributed within acceptable timescales. The post holder will carry out his/her duties as defined in this job description in such a way as to make a direct and positive contribution to the organisation of the work. It is essential that the post holder should exercise initiative commensurate with the role and that confidentiality be maintained at all times.
