INTENSIVE CARE UNIT NEONATAL NHS NMC
University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking two motivated Clinical Facilitators for its neonatal intensive care unit. One facilitator will primarily support new staff in the Woodland Ward Special Care Baby Unit, guiding them through their initial training and providing clinical support. The other facilitator will focus on managing student placements and supporting pre-registration students in practice, in collaboration with local universities. Both roles require a registered nurse or midwife with specialized neonatal qualifications and a current Neonatal Life Support certification, along with a passion for education and staff development to ensure high-quality care for infants and families.

Duties will include planning and facilitating educational sessions, supporting staff and student induction, and providing ongoing training for existing staff. Experience in a level 3 neonatal unit is desirable but not mandatory. The Trust emphasises the importance of effective education and training in meeting the rising clinical demands and delivering safe, effective care. The successful candidates will work closely with the Lead Educator and the Neonatal Education Team to enhance learning in both classroom and clinical settings.
