Tile House Surgery, located in Brentwood, are recruiting for two part-time care navigators to assist the team on our busy reception. Both roles are offered on a part time basis Monday to Friday, for 30 hours per week. These shifts will be 6 hours long per day and will be 7.30am to 1.30pm or/and 1pm -7pm.

In this essential front-line role at the practice, receptionists help patients to access the right services, assist with keeping health records accurate and up-to-date and ensure that appointment bookings are well-managed. We are looking for a receptionist to join our busy practice team and help make a positive impact on our local community. We would welcome applications from organised, adaptable, and friendly individuals who are keen to help us provide high levels of customer service. Some flexibility is required as you will sometimes need to work additional/alternative hours to cover for colleagues. Full training will be provided on our clinical database.

• Greeting and directing all patients.
• Booking, cancelling and moving patient appointments.
• Handing out letters, completed forms, specimen bottles, etc.
• Dealing with requests for information and managing problems and complaints.
• Advising patients of practice procedures.
• Registering new patients.
• Answer the telephone promptly.
• Assisting GPs with their requests.
• Referring patients to local domiciliary services.
• Dealing with incoming emails/faxes as per practice procedure.
