The Clinical Nurse Specialist (XR06) position at Leeds Teaching Hospitals invites applications from nurses with strong clinical skills to join the Children's Endocrinology Nurse Specialists team. The role supports the Yorkshire Centre for Paediatric & Adolescent Endocrinology Service, providing comprehensive care for children and teenagers with endocrine disorders across West, North, and East Yorkshire. While prior endocrinology experience is beneficial, it is not required. Key responsibilities include managing a shared caseload of patients aged 0-18, attending clinics and wards, offering telephone support, coordinating medications, and educating families about their child's condition and treatment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing care needs, developing care programs, and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure effective patient management and safe discharge. They will also contribute to service development and may be involved in training and supporting both patients and other healthcare professionals. A valid driving license is desirable for this role, which emphasises communication with various agencies and the use of resources in a cost-effective manner.
