The South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw (SYB) Pathology Network is seeking enthusiastic and experienced Biomedical Scientists to join their Haematology team at Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. This role involves acting as an HCPC-registered Biomedical Scientist, providing essential scientific services to assist in clinical diagnosis while participating in a 24/7 out-of-hours rota. Candidates will perform a variety of complex analytical procedures using automated and manual testing methods, ensuring compliance with ISO 15189 standards.

Applicants should have post-registration Haematology experience and ideally be prepared for out-of-hours work. While candidates with an IBMS specialist portfolio in Haematology or Blood Sciences will be considered for the Band 6 position, those still working towards or aspiring to complete their portfolio may be appointed at Band 5.
