Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a motivated Trust Grade Registrar at the ST3 level or higher to join its neurosurgical department for an initial 12-month placement, potentially extendable. The role involves collaborating with consultants and multidisciplinary teams in various capacities, including inpatient and outpatient services, participating in an on-call rota, and supervising ward rounds. Candidates should have previous experience as a neurosurgery registrar or in a comparable role, possess full MRCS, and have NHS experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing patients in line with consultant guidance, supporting junior colleagues, and engaging in quality improvement projects and departmental meetings. Working within a busy neurosurgery unit that serves a population of around 3 million in the East Midlands, the registrar will gain substantial clinical experience across different subspecialties including functional, paediatric, spinal, and vascular neurosurgery.
