The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Clerical Assistants to provide administrative and clerical support to clinical staff within various services across Newcastle. There are multiple posts available, including opportunities in Community Nursing, Urgent Treatment Centres, and the 0-19 Service, with both full-time and part-time options. Clerical Assistants will handle telephone communications, manage electronic health records using SystmOne, and interact with patients, carers, and healthcare professionals, ensuring requests are addressed professionally and efficiently.

Candidates will be expected to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays on a rota basis. The role requires effective workload prioritisation in a busy environment while maintaining high standards of support and contributing to team objectives. Housekeeping and office management tasks may also be part of the responsibilities. The position promotes flexibility in working arrangements whenever feasible. Successful candidates will need to undergo a DBS check, with the cost deducted from the first month's salary.
