The University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust is seeking an Audiology Pathway Coordinator to join their Audiology team at Derriford Hospital. This role demands flexibility and strong organizational skills to ensure efficient service delivery in a busy environment. The successful candidate will collaborate with clinical and administrative colleagues to uphold high standards of patient care and service coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage referral pathways within the Audiology service line.
  • Communicate effectively with Audiologists and other clinical staff regarding patient referrals and diagnostic results.
  • Monitor compliance with administrative processes, policies, and access standards.
  • Document and track patient care coordination, supporting data collection for audits.
  • Engage in effective communication to facilitate timely service provision across clinical services.
  • Utilize various IT systems and databases for data management and reporting.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • The ideal candidate should possess strong communication, interpersonal, and IT skills.
  • A good understanding of medical terminology related to ENT and Audiology is essential.
  • Candidates must demonstrate a proactive attitude and the ability to work independently.

Additional Details:

  • Preference will be given to internal Trust staff and those with relevant experience, including 'At Risk' NHS staff across Devon.
  • The position may be offered as a fixed-term contract or on a secondment basis with the potential for a permanent role.
