The South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Ward Clerk for their Trauma and Orthopaedics department, offering a full-time position of 37.5 hours per week over five days. The successful candidate will perform a variety of clerical and reception duties to support healthcare professionals, ensuring a high-quality service for patients, relatives, and carers. Key responsibilities include greeting and assisting patients, managing communication within the ward and external agencies, handling appointment scheduling, and maintaining patient records, both electronic and paper.

Candidates should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrate a proactive approach to work, and have a minimum educational background of GCSE Level 2 in Numeracy and Literacy or equivalent. Strong keyboard skills are also essential. The role requires flexibility to cover absences, and while it will be demanding, it promises to be a rewarding opportunity within a busy healthcare environment.
