The East London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Children and Young People’s Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP) for its Newham CAMHS, a comprehensive child and adolescent mental health service known for its innovative and flexible approach. This role involves supporting the triage and management of families awaiting treatment, delivering both individual and group interventions for young people and their parents, and supervising junior CWP staff and trainees. The successful candidate will conduct mental health assessments, formulate and implement evidence-based interventions, and collaborate with families to enhance emotional well-being, all while contributing to the development of resources that support CAMHS practitioners.

In this role, the CWP will utilize various assessment tools and methodologies, provide guidance to families in accessing additional support, and monitor treatment outcomes in line with CYP IAPT practices. Additionally, the practitioner will carry out risk assessments to ensure the safety of clients, reinforcing the service's commitment to addressing the complex mental health needs of children and young people in Newham.
