The East of England Ambulance Service is seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Ambulance Care Assistants (Relief) for the West Essex region, specifically in Epping. The role involves transporting non-urgent patients requiring assistance to and from hospitals and treatment facilities, requiring a professional demeanor and a caring attitude. Candidates should possess strong communication skills, a full UK manual driving license with at least one year of experience, and ideally have local area knowledge. The position demands adaptability, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Successful applicants will undergo a three-week paid training program to equip them with essential skills such as patient transport and first aid. Responsibilities include maintaining patient care, adhering to health and safety protocols, ensuring vehicles are sanitary, and assisting patients in their homes when necessary. The role also requires clear communication with healthcare professionals, the ability to safely lift and maneuver patients, and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
