The Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Communications Switchboard Operator in Salford to join their busy Switchboard Communication Centre. The role involves operating on a rolling rota shift pattern primarily from Monday to Friday between 7 am and 8 pm, with occasional coverage required for weekends, night shifts, and bank holidays. The position requires direct communication with the public, medical staff, and external organisations, making it a crucial link in the telephone communication system. Operators will handle diverse tasks such as staff requests, booking services within the Capital, Estates and Facilities Division, and arranging non-emergency patient transport for outpatient appointments.

Candidates should have prior experience in a similar role, but training will be provided. The position offers opportunities for enhancements in pay for shifts outside the standard hours and overtime may also be available as needed. This role is essential for ensuring effective communication and service delivery within the healthcare environment.
