We are pleased to offer a vacancy opportunity to join our existing dedicated AVP Operative team based at Scunthorpe Ambulance Station; to prepare and Deep clean Front line Ambulance Vehicles in line with the Ambulance Vehicle Preparation (AVP) requirements and maintain required housekeeping of garage and associated clinical areas
Unsociable out of hours payment is provided for this role. Extra 41% for hours between 20:00 and 06:00 & Sundays 83%for all hours worked within these times.
This role offers competitive out of hours unsocial rates on top of basic salary indicated, unsocial payments subject to NHS terms and conditions. Please contact us for further information.
Our training package includes Level 2 Apprenticeship and access to Level 2 NCFE.
This role may require you to travel throughout Yorkshire as and when required to other Ambulance Stations during your shift (transport provided)
Duties to include:
Ambulance Vehicle Preparation Operatives Process Ambulance Service Vehicles in a prescribed and controlled way that ensures each ambulance is fully equipped and prepared to attend and treat a patient. The role is a key operational support function, which ensures patient safety whilst supporting Operations in meeting its targets.
Main duties include detailed cleaning and Infection Prevention and Control activities, checking and inspecting medical and lifting & handling equipment, restocking all consumables, and completing vehicle checks. Other duties include the preparation of consumables, stock control, re-fuelling and moving vehicles across various locations, recording all daily activities and the repatriation of equipment from Hospital Trusts.
Cross site location working maybe required within your daily/weekly activities for which use of transport will be provided during your working times.
No experience is required as full training will be given. An initial 4-week Training package forms part of your Learning and Development.
