Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a Consultant Paediatric Ophthalmologist with a neuro-ophthalmology interest to join their Ophthalmology Service. This new role will involve leading and supporting Paediatric Ophthalmology services, particularly in strabismus. The ideal candidate should have a specialist register and relevant experience in the field, and will be responsible for providing high-quality care for paediatric patients, collaborating closely with the Orthoptic team and paediatric optician.

Key responsibilities include performing squint and general ophthalmic surgeries, supervising Ophthalmic ST trainees from Wessex Deanery, and participating in a weekend casualty clinic. While the role will involve a Saturday morning clinic every five weeks, there is no additional out-of-hours on-call commitment. Interviews are scheduled for 25 November 2024.
