Band 2  PERMANENT  GOOD SALARY 

An opportunity has arisen for a number of permanent full or part time Band 2 Health Care Support within the Medical Directorate at Wrexham Maelor Hospital. Morris ward is a 27 bedded acute medical ward which specialises in dementia care. We aim to provide holistic care for all patients and heavily involve relatives and carers throughout their hospital journey. We treat each patient as individuals and have recently opened our dementia friendly tea rooms.

We are looking for a hardworking compassionate team player to join our friendly ward.

The successful candidates will work within acute adult wards within the Medical Directorate caring for patients admitted into hospital.

Applicants must have an approachable manner necessary to deal with patients/relatives and desirable experience of a hospital environment, work as part of a team of nurses on the ward and undertake patient fundamentals of nursing care tasks under the direct or indirect supervision of a Registered General Nurse responsible for the patient's management.

Following an agreed level of training, NVQ level 2 & 3 in care, the successful candidate will be required to work internal rotation on the ward. Successful applicants will have an induction programme arranged for their orientation into the Medical team.
