The CAMHS Liaison Practitioner role at Portsmouth Hospital, part of the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, offers a chance to work within a dynamic team focused on supporting young people and families in crisis in an acute hospital environment. This position entails conducting assessments for children and adolescents presenting with severe mental health issues, such as self-harm and suicidal ideation, as well as providing short crisis interventions and follow-up care. The practitioner will also foster relationships with hospital staff and other services, deliver specialist training, and contribute to the overall improvement of mental health services.
