The Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dynamic Occupational Therapist for a "Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist - Home First" position at Langley Green Hospital in Crawley. This role, available as a 6-month fixed-term contract or secondment, offers varying hours based on the applicant's banding (Band 5: 37.5 hours, Band 6: 30 hours, Band 7: 22.5 hours). The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating the safe discharge of older adults with mental health issues, providing patient-focused care, conducting timely assessments, and delivering recovery-based interventions. Candidates from Bands 5, 6, and 7 are encouraged to apply, and they should possess strong communication skills and relevant mental health experience.

The position involves collaboration with various teams, including the Home First OT clinical support worker and community teams, while allowing for autonomy in managing a personal caseload. Regular professional supervision and opportunities for continuing professional development are provided. A driving license is preferred, as the role requires home visits.
