NHS Blood and Transplant is seeking a Specialist Nurse to join the Nursing team within the Organ and Tissue Donation team (OTDT) at the National Referral Centre in Liverpool. The role involves facilitating tissue donation from deceased donors across the UK and contributing to the growth and development of the tissue donation program. Responsibilities include assessing potential donors, evaluating information to secure family consent, advising on donor suitability, and ensuring compliance with the Human Tissue Act (2004).

As a key member of the Nursing team within OTDT, you will play an essential role, working within the National referral centre team to facilitate tissue donation, from donors across the UK.
The tissue donation programme is under growth so you will also have the opportunity to be involved in the development and implementation of strategies in conjunction with the NRC Matrons to expand the donation programme, training and clinical standards.

What we offer:
This role will be based at Liverpool Blood Centre, Speke. The normal working hours are 37.5 hours per week, working 4/5 days over 7 days on a shift rota. Exact days/hours to be discussed and agreed with successful candidate.
