Band 5: £29,970 to £36,483 a year Per Annum  PERMANENT 

There is an opportunity to join Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trusts Digital Services Team as an Application Support Specialist to support the efficient operation of the clinical IT applications such as PAS, ICE and System One throughout the Trust. The post holder will join the Applications Management Team and will work closely with clinical practitioners and application specialists to co-ordinate the implementation, development and on-going support of the trust's clinical IT applications to deliver maximum benefits for our patients.

The successful post holder must be able to role model compassionate and inclusive leadership in order to shape the creation of a collective leadership culture within the Trust.

To Support the efficient administration of the clinical and business applications throughout the Trust.

To troubleshoot and resolve Help Desk calls in a timely manner and in line with Trust standards and service levels in relation to application incidents.

To help ensure high availability, security and usability of Client Organisation applications.

To minimise downtime of the above applications by providing pro-active support and a rapid response when problems arise.

To develop and maintain procedures and documentation of applications under the control of Digital Services.

To troubleshoot and resolve Help Desk calls in a timely manner and in line with Trust standards and service levels in relation to application incidents.

To help ensure high availability, security and usability of Client Organisation applications.

To minimise downtime of the above applications by providing pro-active support and a rapid response when problems arise.

To develop and maintain procedures and documentation of applications under the control of Digital Services.

To ensure the smooth running of all applications across client Organisations by providing effective application administration.

Responsibility to monitor applications and advise on actions required.

To participate in the implementation of new projects as required.

To plan own workloads to meet time scales for achieving project completion.

To role model compassionate and inclusive leadership in order to shape the creation of a collective leadership culture within the trust. This means demonstrating a consistent leadership style which (a) engages, enables and empowers others (b) uses coaching to promote ownership of learning and quality improvement and (c) facilitates team working and collaboration within teams / departments and across organisational boundaries.
