Compass is seeking a dedicated School Practitioner for the Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) in Birmingham, specifically in the areas of West/North Birmingham such as Handsworth, Lozells, Aston, Ladywood, and Erdington. This role focuses on enhancing the emotional health and wellbeing of children and young people through impactful, evidence-based early interventions. The practitioner will collaborate with schools, families, and communities, driving the implementation of mental health services in alignment with national frameworks while benefiting from opportunities for professional development, including a Post Graduate Certificate in clinical supervision.

Candidates should possess a core professional qualification (e.g., EMHP, PMHW) and a minimum of two years' experience in therapeutic work with children and young people. Essential skills include risk assessment, clinical supervision, effective communication, and team leadership. A flexible, solution-focused approach and proficiency in IT are crucial, along with a strong commitment to evidence-based practice and inclusivity. A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle are required for this position, which allows for meaningful contributions to the mental health landscape in the local community.
