Compass is thrilled to announce our partnership in Birmingham to launch further Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) in schools! Were on a mission to uplift the emotional health and wellbeing of children and young people across the city, this time in West/North Birmingham (Handsworth, Lozells, Aston, Ladywood, Erdington). As a School Practitioner in our dynamic MHST, youll play a vital role in shaping our services, collaborating with schools, families, and communities. This is your chance to advance your career in mental health support while making a meaningful impact on the lives of young people.
Youll work with a dedicated team to enhance our MHST initiatives, fostering strong partnerships and driving the implementation of effective mental health services aligned with the national framework. Plus, we offer exciting opportunities for further training, including a Post Graduate Certificate in clinical supervision!
Are you a passionate and dedicated mental health professional ready to make a difference? Were seeking someone with a core professional qualification (e.g., EMHP, PMHW, or equivalent) and a commitment to continuous professional development. Your experience in therapeutic work with children and young people (at least 2 years) is essential, along with a strong background in risk assessment, clinical supervision, and engaging families.
Youre a natural leader, skilled in delegating tasks and supporting your team. Your experience in managing changing priorities and organising team duties will help you thrive in the role. With excellent communication skills, you can relate to children and young people, ensuring they feel understood and valued.
A flexible and solution-focused approach is key, as is a commitment to evidence-based practice and data collection. Your IT proficiency will support your work in this innovative setting, and your strong personal values will guide your interactions.
