Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Band 8b Surgery Matron to lead and manage the surgical and anaesthetic clinical care group, specifically overseeing gastroenterology, endoscopy, and outpatient services. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with significant leadership experience at an 8A level, responsible for daily operations, inpatient bed management, governance, rota, and budget management.

The role emphasises devolution of decision-making to clinical teams and involves close collaboration with the Specialty Clinical Lead and Specialty Manager. The successful applicant will provide visible and accessible leadership across clinical areas and ensure adherence to nursing standards, while also supporting departmental growth and service improvement initiatives.
