The Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 2 Rehabilitation Assistant to support its In Patient Therapy Service in Huddersfield. This role involves collaborating with therapists and support staff to deliver acute care interventions for patients across various wards, including A&E, ICU, and surgical units. Candidates are expected to have experience in health or social care, and must be prepared to engage in therapy competencies, work flexibly, and participate in a weekend roster while overseeing a delegated workload under the supervision of registered practitioners.

The Rehabilitation Assistant will assist patients recovering from illnesses or injuries, helping them cope with disabilities that affect daily activities. Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, monitoring patient progress, and leading group activities. The role may also require home visits for pre-discharge assessments. The successful candidate will need strong observational skills to recognize significant changes in patients' conditions and respond appropriately in both routine and emergency situations.
