HAEMATOLOGY
The Trials Accelerated Programme Nurse (TAP) role at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board involves supporting clinical research activities within the Haematology Research and Development department. This full-time position is ideal for a band 6 registered nurse with acute care experience and a keen interest in clinical research. The nurse will care for Haematology patients participating in TAP studies, assist in the setup of research studies, and serve as the primary contact for both patients and study sponsors throughout the trial duration.

The role requires strong organisational skills to ensure studies are safely and effectively delivered, including addressing any potential issues. Though prior research experience is not necessary, a commitment to the role and the ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable. This fixed-term position is funded for two years as part of the broader TAP initiative, aiming to enhance support for clinical trials in the region. Applicants must secure permission from their current line manager before applying.
