Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust is seeking a Principal Clinical / Counselling Psychologist for a permanent 0.8 wte role within their Mental Health Services for Older People (MHSOP). The successful candidate will become a key member of the inpatient psychology team, which includes Clinical Associate Psychologists, Assistant Psychologists, and Trainees, and will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide specialized clinical psychology services. Responsibilities include delivering psychological assessments and interventions for older adults, particularly focusing on those with functional mental health problems, and expanding services for individuals with organic issues such as dementia.

In this role, the psychologist will also provide clinical supervision to junior colleagues, contribute to team dynamics for effective patient care, and engage in innovative service development supported by the Consultant Clinical Psychologist. The position emphasises professional growth, offering a structured learning pathway and a supportive work environment that prioritizes the health and wellbeing of team members.
