The Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist - Mental Health Professional to join their established Liaison Psychiatry team at Peterborough City Hospital. This full-time, permanent role involves delivering high-quality mental health assessments and care plans for individuals experiencing mental health issues in the emergency department, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Candidates should possess strong assessment and communication skills and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, responding to patients referred to the service on a 24/7 basis.

The successful applicant will undertake biopsychosocial assessments and risk management plans, as well as provide expert advice and training to nursing and medical staff in the Emergency Department. The position emphasises the importance of maintaining an effective and safe service while fostering partnerships with community mental health teams to enhance patient care.
